Our Bloggers
This page is coming along. We will introduce each of our blogging families and link to their own page, which tells more about them, includes a contact form just for them, and lists the RSS feed from their category where you can read all of their posts. But for now…
The Transplants
Everett and Missy sold their urban homestead in Denver in 2009 and moved to a small farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of rural southwest Virginia….

TreeStone Farm
The Bailey family are self-described “nomadic homesteaders” looking for a permanent farm to marry. Tommy and Amber grew up in West Virginia and have lived in intentional communities and a few of their own farms in West Virginia and Virginia. They bring a wealth of knowledge about the homesteading arts, as well as construction of outbuildings and cabins. Learn more or read their posts on the TreeStone Farm page!
The Minimalists
The family name…. Bio goes here. We’re not trying to pigeon-hole anyone here, but we REALLY hope to get our friends M&A on-board, but they might have too many blogger-irons in the fire already. They put us to shame when it comes to post-frequency, voluntary simplicity and frugal living, and I think their insight would add a perspective to this blog that we are unable to give. Fingers crossed!

The Old-Timers
The Old-timers…. Bio goes here. So far all of the bloggers we have in mind are, relatively speaking, somewhat new to this, mostly due to just being young adults in general. It would really add something to the blog if we could find a person, couple or family who has been homesteading for 20+ years. Oh the things we could learn from them! Do you know anyone who fits this description and has internet access and a willingness to participate?

The Urban Homesteaders
This used to be Missy and Everett before they transplanted themselves to the countryside. We have a few people in mind for this spot, but if you’re interested please let us know. You don’t need to move to the country to live a simple life and we would love to have someone on here posting about urban homesteading, urban gardens, and issues affecting the majority of Americans who live in cities and suburbs.

The Guests
Our guest posts come from a variety of sources. We are pretty open to allowing anyone who wants to participate to send us a guest post so long as it follows some simple guidelines…
- Content must be given completely and exclusively to www.LivingASimpleLife.com.
We ask that you do not publish the same, or a significantly similar, post on any other website. Search engines like unique content, and so do we.
- Content must be useful, entertaining, informative or otherwise of interest to our readers.
It doesn’t have to fall in line with any dogma, but should at least have something to do with “living a simple life” whatever that may mean to you.
- Content must be non-promotional.
The author can have one link in the bio pointing to their website (with their name or the name of their website as the linked text) but we ask that the rest of the content contain only links to trusted, useful and non-commercial resources. The guest post will not be accepted if we feel you are using this venue to promote your business or build off-topic, keyword-specific links into your website.
- And stuff…
We will eventually get around to filling this out a little more, but all of the usual expectations apply, such as no hate speech, racism, hostile politcs / religion, etc…
