Pictures From Last Week Around the Farm
Here are a few pictures that have been sitting on the camera since last week.
I told Missy that she’s the only person I know who has lived on a farm for two months and managed not to get dirty. These pictures are her proving that she is just as capable of getting dirty as I am when she’s not taking care of the 101 other responsibilities in her day-to-day. They make me feel like a terrible husband, but she moved the rock out of the creek safely and now has proof that she’s much stronger than she looks.
The rock was for a waterfall that we’re going to make from a spring at the back of the house. But first I need to dig a trench to bury the hose and insert a pump so we can get water from it as needed. There are a few photos of the pipe that we’ve put in to prepare for this project.
Last but not least, my sweet grandpa holding Ramsey the bunny and patting Ivan the bulldog on the head. I’m so glad they got to come out and see the farm and hope they can come back again in the fall.

We believe that humankind has lost some important things in the march toward progress. That is not to say progress and simplicity are mutually exclusive. We believe we can have both, and this site catalogs our journey as we try to do exactly that.

I bet that spring was cold. And Missy I really like the dress.
Wondering why missy is doing all the heavy lifting and your snapping pictures?!?
that was one big rock there!! love it!
That’s some rock-moving! And Missy, those are some of the prettiest sleeves I’ve seen.
Love the grandpa picture. It looks like something that might have been taken fifty, sixty years ago.
