The Story of Big Mamma and Little Peepers (Video)
Mrs. Simpleton wants to write childrens’ books some day and base them on things that happen around the farm. I think she’d be good at it – especially the illustrations. Perhaps we have our first story here. I’m thinking it would be a good childrens’ story to help interracially adopted children come to terms with why they are different from their parents, and how that doesn’t make them any less loved, and doesn’t mean that they “belong” any less. I’m sure it’s been done before, but probably not with a Turkey and a Chicken…
This video is the story of Big Mamma and Little Peepers:

We believe that humankind has lost some important things in the march toward progress. That is not to say progress and simplicity are mutually exclusive. We believe we can have both, and this site catalogs our journey as we try to do exactly that.

The other chickens like to watch them, as you can see at the end of the video. They can see that the two don’t “belong” together, but Big Mamma and Little Peepers can’t see it that way because they don’t know what they look like.
Awww, too cute! I love it. What can I say…I’m a girl.
I think that would be a GREAT book.
Maybe not the “we Big Daddy because he was a Jerk.” part… (well, maybe.)
You should publish an Ebook. (for quick read about what that is and why it’s good. Go to http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2007/03/you_should_writ.html)
CUTE!
Great Video Simpleton’s!!!
The video is just too cute. I have to agree with Erik about the daddy jerk part though. Kids who’ve gone through parental divorce hear that jerk stuff all the time. Having been a child of divorce myself, hearing that only led to anger, resentment, and a sense of alienation from both parents. It was a very lonely life to live.
Something tells me that Mrs. Simpleton wouldn’t ‘actually’ write a children’s book that called the daddy a jerk, or mention that we ate him.
